Son co\u00fbt et sa portabilit\u00e9 le rendent id\u00e9al pour les zones recul\u00e9es d\u00e9pourvues d\u2019infrastructures de laboratoire. Les premiers essais en Afrique subsaharienne ont r\u00e9duit les retards de diagnostic de 50 %, limitant potentiellement la transmission.
