Scientists Question the Safety of BPA-Free Packaging

Researchers discovered that chemicals replacing BPA in food packaging can seep into food and disrupt vital processes in human ovarian cells. Substances like TGSA, D-8, PF-201, and BPS caused fat buildup and altered gene activity linked to cell growth and repair. These findings suggest that “BPA-free” labels may not guarantee safety and call for closer examination of BPA alternatives.
