
Alicia Dickenstein is a renowned mathematician and Full Professor at the University of Buenos Aires, where she also serves as a Principal Researcher at CONICET. She earned both her B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Buenos Aires. Her research spans algebraic geometry, with transformative applications in systems biology and biochemical reaction networks. In 2021, she was honored as the L’Oréal-UNESCO International Laureate for Women in Science in the category of Physical Sciences, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
