Mexico’s First Moon Mission to Deploy Micro Robots
23 January 2024
Mexico is set to embark on its first-ever moon mission with the launch of the Peregrine lunar lander. This mission will carry five tiny robots called “Colmena” to the moon’s surface. The microrobots, developed by Mexican scientists, will conduct various scientific experiments and gather data to enhance our understanding of the lunar environment. This significant milestone showcases Mexico’s growing presence in space exploration and scientific research. The mission’s success could pave the way for future lunar missions from Mexico and contribute to international collaborations in the field of space exploration.
